How to deposit with a Debit Card

Step-by-step guide to making a deposit on Dabble using a Mastercard or Visa debit card.

Depositing into your Dabble account with a debit card is quick and straight forward. Follow the steps below to make a deposit with your debit card 💳

📢 Please note: by Australian law, deposits can't be made with a credit card. Your card must be a debit card. Prepaid and gift cards also aren't accepted.


Step-By-Step

Step 1: Open the Deposit screen

You can get to the deposit screen in either of these ways:

  • Tap your balance in the top-right corner of the app, or

  • Go to Settings ⚙️ and select Deposit Funds

Step 2: Enter your deposit amount

  • Enter the amount you'd like to deposit

  • The minimum deposit is $5

  • You can use the + / − buttons or select a preset amount if available

Step 3: Add your debit card (first time)

  1. Select Debit Card and press Deposit.

  2. You'll be asked to add a card to your Saved Payment Methods. Enter your Card Number, Expiry Date, CVV and Cardholder Name, then press Pay. The card must belong to you, be registered in your name, and match the details you signed up to Dabble with.

  3. You may then be prompted to complete two-factor authentication (2FA) with your bank to securely link the card. Follow the prompts to finish this.


    Depending on your bank, this might be a text message to your phone or an in-app confirmation through your online banking app.

  4. Once verification is complete, your deposit goes through and your card is saved for faster deposits next time. From then on you just select your saved card to pay.



Approving your deposit

Depending on your bank or card provider, you may be asked to approve the transaction with an extra security step, such as a one-time passcode or a confirmation in your banking app. If prompted, just follow your bank's on-screen instructions to complete the deposit.



Important Info

  • Please note you can save a maximum of two cards on your account at any one time.

  • If you need to remove a saved card, contact our Support Team and we'll sort it for you.
