Pick'em

Focusing on Player Stats only, simply pick whether a player will achieve More or Less than a specific projection.

What are Pick’em Bets?

Pick’em is a new bet type that lets you build a bet by choosing whether a player will get Less or More of various stat projections. You can add between 2 to 12 players in your Pick’em bet across multiple matches and markets.

Each player you add to your Pick’em bet will increase your multiplier where you can win up to 1,500x your stake! Players from at least two opposing teams must be selected in a Pick’em bet.

Pick’em comes with two bet types – All-in and Hedge (explained more below on this page).

How is Pick’em different to other bet types?

Pick’em is a player only betting product where all selections have a 50/50 chance to win – hence the option to choose Less or More. As you add players to your Pick’em bet, the Multiplier will increase. Where other bet types which have different odds, the Multiplier offers you fixed payout amounts so that you know how much you could return with every player you add to your bet.

Unlike other bet types that will cancel your bet, if a player is voided from your Pick’em bet we simply reduce your multiplier. For example, your 8-leg Pick’em has one player voided so your bet becomes a 7-leg Pick’em.

How do I place a Pick’em bet?

To place a Pick’em bet, simply follow these steps:

1. You can access Pick'Em from the Betting > Sports page, or the Pick'Em tab on competitions and fixtures where Pick'Em is available

2. Pick the players you want to add to your bet by choosing whether they will get Less or More of the projection line on a stat.

3. Choose up to 12 players and tap View Picks

4. In the betslip, you can select from either an All-In bet (all legs must win), or a Hedge bet (win even if some legs lose) To toggle between these options, tap the switch next to 'All-In,' which will change to 'Hedge,' or use the gear icon for advanced selection options.

5. Enter your stake, place your bet and wait for your confirmation. Once confirmed – you’re on!

Like all bets on Dabble, you can add a bet description so that other profiles know why you think that’s a winner and increase your chances of ranking high in the feed.

Below is an example of building a 5-leg All-In Pick’em bet to return $250 from my $10 stake.

What are Pick’em All-In and Hedge bets?

Pick’em comes with two exciting bet types:

All-In – With All-In bets, you can win between 3.5x and up to a mammoth 1,500x your stake. All legs must win for your bet to be a winner.

Hedge – By selecting Hedge, you can give yourself more chances to win from your bet, even if some legs lose.

Depending on how many players you have in your Pick’em, you could have 1-3 legs lose and still get a return from your bet. You can see how many legs must win to get a return in the betslip.

Hedge requires a minimum of 3 legs. Adjusted Picks (Boosted ⚡ or Shielded 🛡️) cannot be included in a Hedge entry.

As you have more chances to win with a Hedge bet, the multipliers are lower than All-In.

Lets look at an example of a Hedge bet below:

  • You build an 8-leg Pick’em and select Hedge in the betslip. You enter $10 stake and place your bet. You now have three chances to win off your bet:

If 8 legs win, you receive 75x your stake = $750
If 7 legs win, you receive 5x your stake = $50
If 6 legs win, you receive 2x your stake = $20

In this example, you could have 2 legs lose in your bet and still get a return!

Can I freely choose my selections?

In most cases, you have the flexibility to pick any combination of players for your bet. However, there are a few important exceptions:

  1. Your bet must include selections from at least two different teams to be valid.

  2. You cannot include the same player more than once in your entry.

  3. All entries must be finalized prior to the start of the game for each player you've chosen.

  4. Adjusted Picks (Boosted ⚡ or Shielded 🛡️) cannot be used in Hedge entries.

Voided and Pushed Legs

If a player doesn't take part in their game at any point, that leg is voided and removed from your entry. The multiplier adjusts to the remaining legs.

A push occurs when a player's result lands exactly on the projection line (e.g. a player projected at 32 points scores exactly 32). Push legs are also removed and the multiplier adjusts.

If a bet has Voided or Pushed legs, the number of legs and bet multiplier will be reduced accordingly. Please see examples below:

  • A 12-leg All-In with 1 void reduces to an 11-leg All-In.

  • A 7-leg All-In with 3 voids reduces to a 4-leg All-In.

  • A 2-leg All-In with 1 void is refunded.

  • A 12-leg Hedge with 1 push reduces to an 11-leg Hedge.

  • A 4-leg Hedge with 2 voids converts to a 2-leg All-In (Hedge not available below 3 legs).

  • If all legs are voided, the bet is refunded in full.

If all players from one team are voided, the entire entry will be deemed void, as it would no longer meet the two-team requirement.

Adjusted Picks: Boosted ⚡ and Shielded 🛡️

Adjusted Picks brings new energy to every lineup you create!

Adjusted Picks are special projections that sit outside the standard 50/50 range, giving you the option to take on more risk for a bigger reward, or reduce your risk in exchange for a lower ceiling.

Boosted Picks ⚡

Marked with a lightning bolt, Boosted Picks are higher-risk projections with the potential for massive returns of up to 7,500x your stake. Because the projection is set harder to hit, the reward is greater. Boosted Picks typically apply to the More option, though availability may vary by market.

Boosted Picks contribute positively to your overall multiplier at the individual leg level. They can be mixed with standard projections and other Adjusted Picks in the same All-In entry.

Shielded Picks 🛡️

Marked with a shield, Shielded Picks are lower-risk projections that are easier to hit, but come with a lower maximum multiplier. If you want a steadier chance of returning something, Shielded Picks are the trade-off.

Depending on the market, Shielded Picks may be available on Less or More.

Before you finalise your lineup, you’ll see exactly how Adjusted Picks affect your potential payout.

Things to know about Adjusted Picks

  • Adjusted Picks may be available on Less or More depending on the market. Boosted Picks typically apply to More.

  • You can mix Boosted Picks, Shielded Picks, and standard projections in the same All-In entry.

  • Adjusted Picks cannot be included in Hedge entries.

  • Your multiplier impact from Adjusted Picks is shown in the betslip before you confirm.

Pick'em Futures Markets

⚠️ Pick'em Futures markets operate differently to match-day Pick'em. They are offered on an All-In basis (General Sports Rules 6.3).

Bets remain valid regardless of whether a selected player starts on the bench or comes on as a substitute.

The standard void rule (player not in starting lineup) does not apply. Pick'em Futures are not covered by the Injury Protection Policy under any circumstances. Bets are only void if the tournament or competition is officially cancelled with no winner declared.

Why might my multiplier be lower than the standard rate?

The All-In multiplier isn't always fixed to the standard leg-count table. Two things can cause it to differ:

  1. Same-game selections: when multiple picks come from the same match, these outcomes can be connected. Dabble adjusts the multiplier at the entry level to reflect this, rather than treating each pick as fully independent.

  2. Adjusted Picks: Boosted and Shielded Picks affect the multiplier at the individual leg level, separately from any combination adjustment.

These two factors operate independently. Boosted Picks add value, but they don't offset the effect of same-game combination adjustments.

When a combination affects your payout, you'll see this notice before confirming: "Your payout may be different than the standard payout as a result of this combination of picks."

The adjusted multiplier is displayed at that point. The rate shown at submission is your locked-in rate for that entry.

Racing Pick'em

Racing Pick'em is a head-to-head match bet between two runners in the same race. Instead of player stats, you're picking which runner will finish ahead of the other.

Selections are displayed as Selection A v (Selection B):

  • Selecting Less backs Selection A (the first-listed runner) to finish ahead of Selection B.

  • Selecting More backs Selection B (the bracketed runner) to finish ahead of Selection A.

Bets are settled on official race-day placings after all stewards' enquiries are complete. Protest Payout does not apply to Racing Pick'em.

State-based void conditions

NSW thoroughbreds: A leg is void if neither runner finishes in the first 5 official places.

VIC thoroughbreds: A leg is void if both runners fail to earn official prize money (as shown on the Racing Australia website).

These rules exist because in NSW and VIC, races can produce results where neither runner in a head-to-head finishes competitively enough to produce a clear outcome. The void condition protects customers in those cases.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Pick'em on racing and sports in the same entry?

No. Pick'em bets are single-market and cannot be combined with fixed-odds sports bets, racing bets, or multi bets.

What happens if a game is abandoned mid-match?

If a leg's result has already been determined when the game is abandoned, that result stands. If the outcome hadn't been determined yet, the leg will be voided.

My multiplier is lower than I expected. Why?

If your entry includes picks from the same game, or Adjusted Picks (Boosted or Shielded), your multiplier may differ from the standard rate.

The adjusted figure is always shown in the betslip before you confirm, and the rate at submission is your locked rate. See the 'Why might my multiplier be lower?' section above for more detail.

Can I mix Boosted and Shielded Picks in the same entry?

Yes, you can combine Boosted Picks, Shielded Picks, and standard projections in any All-In entry.

Can I select Less on an Adjusted Pick?

It depends on the type. Boosted Picks typically only offer More, as the projection is set harder to hit. Other Adjusted Picks may offer both Less and More depending on the market. Check the betslip to see which options are available for each pick.

A player in my entry didn't play - what happens?

If a player doesn't take part in the game at any point, their leg is voided and removed from your entry. Your multiplier adjusts to the remaining legs. Note: if a player plays but records zero stats, the leg stands (it is not voided).

Why does a voided player cancel my SGM but not my Pick'em?

These two bet types treat voids differently. In a Pick'em, a voided leg is removed and your multiplier adjusts to the remaining legs, so your bet stays active. In a Same Game Multi (SGM), any voided leg cancels the entire bet and your stake is refunded in full.

There are a few situations where a void in Pick'em will also result in a full refund: your entry drops below 2 legs, all legs are voided, or all players from one team are voided (which would break the two-team requirement).

My Pick'em settled differently to what I expected. Is this an error?

Pick'em is settled using official statistics from the governing body for the event. Delays in settlement are normal where official stats take time to be published.

If you believe your entry has been settled incorrectly based on official statistics, contact our support team and we'll review it. Note that post-event disqualifications or penalties do not affect settlement. The official result at the end of the event is final.

Can I include Pick'em in a multi bet?

No. Pick'em entries are standalone bets and cannot be combined with other fixed-odds sports markets, racing markets, or multi bets.

My Racing Pick'em with NSW/VIC selections was voided - why?

NSW and VIC have specific void conditions for Racing Pick'em. In NSW, a leg is void if neither runner finishes in the first 5 official places.

In VIC, a leg is void if both runners fail to earn official prize money. These conditions are set out in Dabble's General Sport Rules.

For full Pick'em rules, see our General Sport Rules.
