Why do I need to verify my identity?

Dabble is required to verify all of our customer accounts when opening your Dabble account. This forms part of the Anti-Money Laundering legislation proposed by the Australian Federal Government.

Account Verification, and what that means to you.

Upon opening your account, you will need to have your identity verified when opening your Dabble account. Should you not be able to complete this in that time frame, your Dabble account will be suspended until the verification has been completed. Verification must also be completed prior to being able to make a withdrawal from the account.

How do I verify my account?

To verify your account, we will attempt to verify your details automatically upon the opening of your Dabble account. This is done via a 3rd party verification system (Equifax and GreenID), using the information you have provided on sign up, testing credit reporting amongst other sources.

Usually, this step is enough to verify your identification and nothing further is required. If this automated check is unsuccessful, you can attempt to verify yourself manually. We will need 1 of the following forms of ID supplied to Dabble:

  • Australian Driver’s License
    (You will need to use the full name shown, state it was issued in, card number, and license number)

  • Passport
    (You will need to use the full name shown, country it was issued in, and the passport number)

  • Medicare Card
    (You will need to use the full name shown, card number, reference number, card colour and validity)

To begin, tap on your Profile icon, and tap on the Settings cog. There at the top of this page, if you need to verify your identity, it will describe this at the top:

From there, choose your document you wish to verify, and follow the prompts to do this there.

If unsuccessful, you will be able to attempt the remaining 2 documents to help verify your identity:

Unsuccessful in verifying your account?

You will need to email these documents to – [email protected] – with your Username attached and our support team will attempt to complete the verification.

If your account cannot be verified even after completing these steps you will need to supply reliable and independent certified (and current) documents to Dabble. A Certified Documents form can be download below. A Dabble customer service team member will be in contact with you to assist you.

The certified documents will include a combination of the following:

1 document showing

Original primary photographic identification document (Driver’s License, Passport, Government Proof of Age card)

or

1 document from each of the lists below

Original Primary non-photographic identification document (International Passport, Drivers License, Proof of age card, National Identity Card.

AND

Original secondary identification document (Utility Bill, Property rates notice, Vehicle Registration Notice, Insurance Notice, Property Lease Agreement).

Where to send your form?

Send your completed form and certified copies of your identification documents to us via email on [email protected]

Dabble will attempt to verify you using these documents manually within 24 hours. We will be in touch should there be anything further required.
